This page explains how you can delete your Motiq account and what happens to your data after deletion.
Motiq gives users a way to delete their account directly from inside the mobile app. You can also contact us if you need help with account deletion.
1. Delete Your Account from the App
To delete your account from the Motiq mobile app:
- Open the Motiq app.
- Go to your Profile or Settings page.
- Open the Account or Privacy section.
- Tap “Delete Account”.
- Confirm your password if requested.
- Confirm that you want to permanently delete your account.
Once confirmed, your account deletion request will be processed. You will be logged out of the app after the deletion is completed.
2. What Data Is Deleted?
When you delete your account, we delete your account and associated personal data from our active systems.
This may include:
- Your account information
- Your email address and profile information
- Your focus sessions
- Your session reflections
- Your AI-generated focus plans
- Your AI plan logs connected to your account
- Your subscription records stored in our backend
- Your app activity events connected to your account
Some limited information may be retained if required for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or compliance reasons.
3. Subscription Cancellation
Deleting your Motiq account does not automatically cancel an active subscription managed by Apple or Google.
If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it through the platform where you purchased it:
- Apple App Store subscription settings
- Google Play subscription settings
If you do not cancel your subscription through Apple or Google, you may continue to be charged according to the subscription terms of that platform.
4. Request Account Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app or need help deleting your account, you can contact us by email.

For security reasons, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing the deletion request.
5. Processing Time
Account deletion from inside the app is usually processed immediately or shortly after confirmation.
Email-based deletion requests may take additional time because we need to verify the account owner before deleting personal data.
6. Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent.
- You may lose access to your focus history and saved data.
- Deleting your account does not automatically cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
- If you create a new account later, your previous data may not be recoverable.
